indentThose were exciting days in 1932, 1933, and 1934 when the Thirty Schools were planning and inaugurating their new work. Principals, teachers, and students were caught up in the spirit of adventure and exploration. "Now," they said, "we call make school what it ought to be. We are free from outside domination; no one is telling us what we must do. We shall re-create our school. We are part of a nation-wide project; the eyes of the educational world are upon us. The colleges trust us. We have a great privilege and responsibility."
